faith musclesScripture: Hebrews 11:6—”But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

My Response: Father, I understand faith to be a fruit of Your Holy Spirit in my heart, something that changes the way I perceive things, my desires, and my thoughts—the way I live. My pastor spoke of the mustard seed that grows and overshadows life. Father, is that seed you sowed in my heart growing and becoming stronger in ways that please You?

God’s Whisper: Beloved, what have your days been like since you began starting with My Word?

My Answer: Full! Productive. Living far beyond my comfort zone. More generous with my time. (Also tired and sore!)

His Counsel: New activity will always result in sore muscles. I am stretching you, and you will begin to notice changes in your mind and body. Continue seeking, for great will be your reward.

Prayer: Master, create in me a clean heart and fill it with Your wonderful Spirit, today and every day, I pray. Strengthen my faith-muscles, please. Amen.
