Scripture: Job 38:7—God’s question to Job: Where were you “when the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?”

My Prayer: Father, even as You asked Job these humbling questions, You are asking me the same. You are the Creator, the Sustainer, the Rule-maker, the God over All. As I look to You and see all Your wonder, the concerns I have about my life and my nation’s future fade into nothingness. I will praise You, and I will join the angels shouting for joy!

God’s Answer: “Beloved, let this joy be your goal. The angels are still shouting. If you listen, you can hear them. What can you do to nurture this joy?

My Confession: Father, this lovely window was high above my head on the second floor of a little house, secluded deep in the woods of a Christian retreat.  In order to see it, I needed to put aside my busy schedule, find the quiet room, and look up.   Please help me find a quiet place this week where I can be still and hear the angels’ song and feel Your loving arms about me.

 Seek Me and you will find Me. Then you will be consumed with joy!”
